Professor Huazhong Liu

Liu Huazhong, a native of Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at Hainan University, serving as the Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology. He is a recipient of the National Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award, Deputy Director of the Joint Laboratory for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, a Class B talent in Hainan Province, and a selected participant of the Hainan Provincial "Thousand Talents Program." He has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Scientist by IEEE TCSC and IEEE HITC, and serves as the Secretary-General of the IEEE TCSC Technical Committee and the Hainan Provincial Computer Science Teaching Steering Committee. He is also an Executive Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Collaborative Computing, a Senior Engineer in Information System Project Management, and a Project Manager in Computer Information System Integration. His primary research interests include precise analysis of big data, efficient big data computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. He has led over 10 national and provincial-level scientific research and teaching reform projects, including serving as the Principal Scientist for a National Key R&D Program project, leading a General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a Regional Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a key project of the Hainan Provincial Major Science and Technology Plan, and a key project of the Hainan Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 60 academic papers in CCF Class A journals, IEEE/ACM Transactions, CAS Q1 journals, and international conferences. He has served as Program Committee Chair for Springer ICA3PP 2025 (CCF C), IEEE UIC 2024 (CCF C), IEEE Cybermatics Congress 2023, IEEE GPC 2021, IEEE SmartData 2020/2019, and as Executive Chair for IEEE Metaverse 2022. His accolades include the IEEE ComSoc TCBD Best Journal Paper Award for Big Data, the IEEE HPCC Outstanding Conference Paper Award, the IEEE TCSC Best Doctoral Dissertation Award, the IEEE Best Leadership Award, as well as provincial-level second prizes for teaching achievements, outstanding achievements, multimedia courseware competitions, and a third prize in teaching competitions.
